I am currently in my last quarter as an undergraduate student. I am majoring in early childhood education with hopes of teaching Kindergarten or First Grade. In August I will start my Master's degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. In my free time I enjoy gardening, shopping, scrap booking, reading, swimming and spending time with my family and friends. I also do a lot of babysitting and enjoy going to activities that involve the kids I babysit.
Steam Train Maury Graham was the most interesting to me. I learned a lot through his story. I really liked learning about the difference between a bum and a hobo as well as where the word hobo came from. I remember dressing up as a hobo for Halloween one year but never really knew what they did other than jump on and off of trains during the depression. I also found it interesting that the hobos carried their goods on the end of the hoe handles. I have seen this in different shows and we use to say that people who were running away would carry their belongings like this.
This seems to be a very interesting book and I look forward to reading more stories throughout the quarter.
I'm also thinking about being a Kindergarten or first grade teacher and that's exciting that you are in your last quarter of undergrad school :)

I have to agree with you on the passage, it was my favorite for the same reason. I like how the writing shows and tells the audience different facts about the hobo community!
