In the presence of fear

The most thought provoking passage in the book is XX. This passage says, "If we are serious about innovation, must we not conclude that we need something new to replace our perpetual war to end war" (Berry 7). The passage shows how victory over a war only leads to more violence and not peace.

  1. I completely agree with your statement if all violence does is lead to more violence then nothing will ever be solved

    1. I liked this passage aswell and agree with you. the war to end all wars will never come, war to stop wars is not the answer and we will never find peace through war.

    2. I agree that violence is not always the answer I just think there are so many countries with different opinions and that is what leads to the wars because everyone has a different opinion on what peace is.

    3. Violence is not the answer or to me it is not but some people may think that violence can help solve anything. I think one day war might end and the violence will stop but then again who is really to say what can happen.

    4. I so agree with you even if the war ends we will find something else to fill that spot. Also I don't think peace will ever happen because of the replacing.

  2. IO agrrr that vilence is not the answer, and I hope that the wars end, but we all know that everyone else has things that we want and vise versa.
