My name is Courtney Phillips. I graduated in 2010 from Fairbanks High School. I am in my sophmore year of college and currently majoring in Early Childhood Education. I am hoping to be a second or third grade teacher. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, go shopping and ride fourwheelers or dirtbikes!
The paragraph that stuck out to me the most was the one on Shields. He wrote the diary on anything and everything that has ever happened to him minute by minute. I found it humorous some of the things he documented like the weight of the newspaper or how much a dinner costed. He said he never went anywhere because that would put him behind on his diary. Also, I was surprised when he said he had control over the diary but if he was to stop it would be like ending his life. I think he's way too obsessed with writing his diary!
That's awesome that you are majoring in Early Childhood Education. It sounds like a great career and something I would enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteI like shopping too. I agree that Shields was way too obsessed about writing in his diary. I also found it odd that he thought he was in control of the diary not the diary controlling him.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that it was funny some of the things Shields wrote about in his diary because most people would view some of the things that he wrote about as their private life.
